If you are a C.P.O who is planning to work in environments where the principal will request that you are armed then this is the course for you.
Price includes:
- 6 days – 24 hrs instructions (combat shooting elements)

The programme takes place over four training days in training rooms and on a firing range. Training lasts for 12 lesson hours with practice of topics introduced during the day taking place from 8.00 am to 10.00 pm as well as a block devoted to medical procedures during flights, acclimatisation as well as SOPS.
Glock 17/19, Sig Sauer P229 and H& K, USP, Jericho 941F, pistols are used during training.
Approximately 600 rounds of ammunition are envisaged for each participant.

“FIREARMS FOR CPO’S” TRAINING PROGRAMME:
TACTICAL SHOOTING A – 12hours – INDIVIDUAL UNIT TRAINING
- Safety principles while using firearms, checking weapons, differences in pistol design (single action, double action).
- Basic types of hand gun in use with protection services as well as differences in their operation and use.
- Guidelines for carrying kit and weapons on belts, tactical vests and body armour.
- Basic procedures while using a weapon as well as selecting optimal movements in relation to individual predispositions and equipment (weapon, holster, cartridge case, and vest).
Rules for drawing a weapon from its holster, reloading and adopting a firing position Israeli, American and French methods for:
- Stress posture, taking a weapon in hand, division of strong and weak hand.
- Steady posture. Firing stance.
- Guidelines for giving fire. Single and double fire, concealed fire. Habitual firing; muscle memory and targeting devices in use.
- Moving from running to firing position. Turning while firing (90, 180 degrees), low postures and guidelines for assuming them, using terrain features and vehicles as cover during tactical pauses.
- Changing a magazine, tactical magazine change and guidelines for changing position.
- Emergency situations; shot in a dominant hand; weaker hand etc.
- Guidelines for using torch light and tactical lighting in tactical situations and while giving fire.
- Knowledge of basic types of automatic weapons (MP 5, G 36, M 16/4/, AK 47, AK Beryl, G 3).
Firearms Course is intended for CPO possessing good knowledge of personal protection that are to be employed as Close Protection Operatives in very tough and demanding special skills environment, like Iraq, Afghanistan. During training participants will gain special first-hand knowledge about terrorism threat. The issues to be discussed are guided to cover very aspects of protecting people and property in terrorist-born threat. They will receive tactical combat shooting elements using pistol and rifle.
Please note it is mandatory for all candidates to hold or achieve a First Aid at Work or First Person on Scene qualification when applying for your SIA license.
You must provide:
- Two identity documents from group A. At least one document must show your current address and at least one document must show your date of birth.
Or
- One identity document from group A and two documents from group B. At least one document must show your current address and at least one document must show your date of birth.
Group A
- If you are a UK passport holder, your passport number entered on the application form. You do not need to submit the actual passport.
- Signed valid passport of any other nationality.
- Signed valid UK photo driving licence (both parts of the full or provisional licence are required)
- UK original birth certificate issued within 12 months of birth
- UK biometric residence permit
Group B
- Valid EU photo ID card.
- Valid UK firearms licence with photo
- Signed valid UK paper driving licence.
- Marriage certificate or Civil Partnership certificate, with translation if not in English.
- UK birth certificate issued more than 12 months after date of birth, but not a photocopy.
- Non-UK birth certificate, with translation if not in English.
- UK adoption certificate
- P45 statement of income for tax purposes on leaving a job issued in the last 12 months.
- P60 annual statement of income for tax purposes issued in the last 12 months.
- Bank or building society statement issued to your current address, less than three months old. You can use more than one statement as long as each is issued by a different bank or building society.
- Mortgage statement issued in the last 12 months.
- Utility bill (gas, electric, telephone, water, satellite, cable) issued to your current address within the last three months. You can only submit one utility bill in support of your application.
- Pension, endowment or ISA statement issued in last 12 months.
- British work permit or visa issued in last 12 months.
- Letter from H.M. Revenue & Customs, Department of Work and Pensions, employment service, or local authority issued within the last three months. You can submit more than one letter as long as each is issued by a different Government department or a different local authority.
- A credit card statement sent to your current address within the last three months. You can submit more than one statement as long as each is issued by a different issuer.
- Council Tax statement issued in the last 12 months.
- Child benefit book issued in last 12 months.
